Voluntary Bonding Scheme
Step one: Register your interest
After completing and submitting your online registration you will be able to track your registration status on this site.
Step two: Registrations are reviewed
Once your registration is submitted it will be assessed by Health New Zealand. Registration does not guarantee a place on the Scheme. If places on the Scheme are over-subscribed, a selection process will be undertaken. If Health New Zealand need more information to assess your registration, you will be contacted.
Step three: Scheme decision
Once the assessment process is complete, registrants will be advised whether they have been formally accepted into the Scheme. You will be notified by email that the outcome of your registration is available to view in the portal. The assessment and approvals process can take up to 6 to 8 weeks after the registration period closes, sometimes longer.
Step four: Participation and payment
If you are formally accepted on to the Scheme, and work according to the Terms and Conditions, you will be eligible to apply for payment(s) after bonded term(s) are completed. More information can be found in the Terms and Conditions, and on the website.
